I have known Henry de Keratry for many years. I met Mr. de Keratry in the 70's and have had two homes built by him as well as several remodels including the remodel on my current home. He not only built the two homes, but also assisted me in the planning and lot selection. He has the unique ability to see a home and its placement on a lot before the process is started. When he did the remodel on one of our houses, he sat at our breakfast table and sketched a plan for a new room that was to be added. He also drew pictures of the new windows that he wanted to use. Henry built two very nice town homes (with a central detached garage) for us on our property in Hyde Park, Austin. This involved dealing with protected trees on a deep but narrow lot, and multiple city inspectors. These inspectors wanted to reinvent the permit restrictions per their own personal whims, and often contradicted each other from day to day and week to week. Throughout the process, Henry did a great job of explaining the options we had and making recommendations in that regard. In summary, he and his subs did an excellent job and I would recommend him to anyone looking to build a quality residence.
